Beds for Marine Application

SBA Interior produces beds of non-combustible materials for marine accommodations. Luxury cruise liner cabins as well as crew quarters on cargo vessels or oil rigs have been furnished with different types of SBA beds.

SBA beds meet the requirements specific for marine conditions: non-combustibility, economy of space and weight, durability, easy handling and easy care.

Proven standard bed constructions serve as a basis for products, but the final design is often a result of co-operation between the shipowner's architect, the shipyard and SBA: a tailor-made construction for each specific project.

SBA pullman beds can be made in steel or aluminium, painted or coated with PVC-foil. Also pullman beds with wooden edges are available for spaces were you want to create a special atmosphere. Tilting pullman beds and hoistable beds complete the range of pullman beds.

A tilting pullman bed allows easy bed making, whereas hoistable pullman beds provide more cabin space daytime. Both types of beds are easy to handle.

Sofa beds are an excellent choice for lower bed in cabins. The daytime sofa is easily transformed to a comfortable full size bed.

Single beds can be made in many sizes to match the cabin type in question. There are cabins with space for narrow beds only, and others were a king-size bed is required.

Bunk beds with or without drawers are often a solution for limited space in crew quarters.
