JMC 1 Panelling System
JMC 1 panelling system consists of
- lining panels
- partition panels
- ceiling panels
- inspection doors and hatches
- assembly profiles
The panels are made in sandwich construction,
i.e. with a layer of rockwool between two steel
sheets.
Standard thickness of sheet steel applied
in panels is 0,6 mm, and the rockwool range
is 110 - 220 kg/m3, depending on product.
Standard panel width for wall panels is
1150 - 175 mm (lining), and 600 - 175 mm
(partition), and for ceiling panels 300/500
- 175 mm. Maximum panel length is 3000 mm,
and minimum 1000 mm.
JMC 1 system includes also integrated JMC 1 Inspection Doors and Hatches. In principle they are constructed as JMC 1 panels.
Production tolerances for all panels and inspection doors are:
| Width |
+0/-1 mm |
| Length |
+3/-3 mm |
| Thickness |
+0/-1 mm |
For more technical data, please, see product
sheets.
A supply of JMC 1 panels is always custom-made,
with or without panel planning.
The finish of the facing surface can be
painted, primed, PVC-coated or stainless
steel.
In addition to the JMC 1 line, SBA produces
stainless steel lining
for the furnishing of areas with high hygienic
standard, e.g. galleys and pantries.
Window collars to be fitted
in JMC 1 walls are mostly tailor-made for
each project.
Wall Extension Screens,
made of rockwool, are designed for filling
the gap between the top of e.g. cabin wall
to the deck above as ´draft stops´
within each section of accommodation areas.
The screens can easily be cut to size at
building site.
All major classifying bodies have granted
type approvals for JMC 1 panels and Extension
Screens. Please, see Approvals
for certificates.
